A service of healing and prophecy.

On November 13th, I attended The Life Church (AKA Abundant Life World Outreach Church) for their 10am service.

If you know me by this blog – you know that I love a parking lot and entrance doors that make sense. This church has both! You pull in, park, and boom the door you see is the door you enter. They had a lady greeting you and she stayed at that station during the whole service. She even held the door open for me to leave.

When you walk into their church you are in the balcony section. I chose to stay in that area and not walk down to the main floor. I liked being able to see what all was going on from this bird’s eye view. The main thing that I noticed was how diverse the congregation was (You know… like how heaven will be) – diverse in age, race, and walks of life.

They started off the service with everyone standing and repeating the goals and claims that the church has set for the year 2022. Things like this… “We have thousands in attendance each week. Our weekly tithes and offerings exceed $100,000 weekly. Our property on Hwy 58 will be paid in full by December 31st.” I could not remember them all, but these were the ones that stuck with me.

The service was very musical. They had a band and praise singers on the stage. The songs were powerful and the congregation really got into them with their movements.

This service was a bit different from what they normally do; I would assume. There was no actual sermon, but they had healing and prophesying messages. They (the husband and wife pastors of the church) would call people up to speak prophecies into their lives or call them up for healings. This went on for hours. I actually had to leave 2.5 hours into the service as I had a family lunch to attend. By their YouTube channel it seems that their average service is around 2 hours.

Overall, this would not be a church that I would choose to join – only because their style of worship is just not for me. However, I respect those that do, and think that if you come from a more holiness church background that you would find this church to be a great fit.

I do love their heart for missions and outreach. I think other churches could learn a lot from them!
